KRdfExplorer

Description

KRdfExplorer is an interface for KDE (currently KDE 3) which can be used to explore and edit an RDF database. Currenlty the only RDF database supported is Sesame 1.X.

Its features can be devided into the following four categories:

  • Searching: The user can search for references of a given type and matching a given metadata. The user interface elements such as a date/time input widget are automatically displayed depending of the type of each property.
  • Querying: The user can also send custom queries to the RDF store. The results are displayed in a table.
  • Exploring: By clicking on an entity, the user can explore the RDF database. On each click on an entity its related entities are displayed.
  • Editing: The user can edit the data contained in a repository. Currently supported actions are:
    • remove all the data from a repository
    • remove statements matching a subject, predicate and object
    • add data from a file to a repository
KIO is used to open references with the standard KDE applications, thus emails and files of many types referenced in the database can be opened easily.
