Nepomuk-KDE Service Implementations
The Backbone Lib is needed to compile all service implementations. See Subversion for generic instructions on how to compile NEPOMUK-KDE modules. The Nepomuk-KDE Core Services
In the Nepomuk-KDE project three core services have been implemented:- The Triple service (based on QRDF/Soprano) provides the Triple service interface to add, remove, or list RDF statements from the local Nepomuk RDF store.
- The Query service (based on QRDF/Soprano) provides the Query service interface to perform more complicated RDF queries using a query language such as SPARQL.
- The Resource ID service provides the Resource ID service interface to translate URIs to a more unique version (the current implementation is very simplistic and only converts localfile paths to unique URLs using the fil:// protocol.
Usage
The Nepomuk-KDE core services are implemented as KDE Daemon modules that are loaded automatically once the KDE4 session starts. Thus, in order to use the services one simply has to install the Nepomuk-KDE subversion module service-impl/coreservices.
